WHERE DO I BEGIN?

1. Clean and Seal  

Preparation is the #1 step to create a beautiful finish piece of furniture or other painted or stained project.  White Lightening Cleaner. Prepare your piece for painting with this cleaner use -- Slick Stick if you have shiny, stick or slippery surfaces. This allows you to paint shiny, slick or slippery surfaces with ease.  B.O.S.S. Blocks odors, stains, stops bleed thru.      

2. Choose Paint or Stain 

 Chalk Mineral Paint Dixie Belle Painting will be the easiest and most enjoyable painting you will ever do! Dixie Belle Paint is very thick and a little goes a long way. The longer the lid stays off, the thicker it will get. If you'd like it thinner, no worries, just add a little water and stir. Add too much water? No worries, just leave lid off and it will thicken up. Whatever consistency you desire, Dixie Belle Paint will work for you!. Distress a little too much for your taste? That's okay! Just paint right over that area and start again!. Most pieces will take one to two coats for full coverage. Sometimes, after the first coat dries it will look blotchy. Don't freak out! After the second coat, it will be beautiful. Sometimes you will see brushstrokes, don't worry, as the paint dries, they will disappear. Dixie Belle Paint is the best paint for self leveling.  Voo Doo Gel Stain:  7 colors-Water based & is a little translucent than the No Pain Gel Stain: This stain is oil based and will have a deeper fuller coverage than the VooDoo Gel Stain.

3.  Choose a Paint Brush/or Brushes  

Dixie Belle Brushes are made with the highest quality Dupont synthetic blend Filaments that are on the market today. They can be suspended in water just like Cling On and are made right here in the Good Ole USA!  The filament itself is tapered that has been flagged to imitate the natural split ends of hog bristle. All the brushes do have a flat style trim except for the mini. The mini brush has a chisel trim style but the chisel shape is first hand formed during the manufacturing process. The hand forming process provides an even soft feel throughout the chisel shape. These brushes are medium/stiff and, since they are made with SRT (Solid Round Tapered) Filament, they have great response with spring back and bend recovery for the flex. This helps with retaining the natural form and shape of the brush. Exactly what you'd expect from high end professional paint brushes. Sponges help apply top coats with ease.

4.  Choose a Finish

Dixie Belle Clear Coat is water resistant and can be cleaned using a non-abrasive cleaner after only 7 days.   Glazes add depth & dimension. Dixie Belle Mud adds texture.  Easy Peasy Wax This is a spray wax. Spray & wipe with a lint-free cloth. Add add'l coats as desired.   Waxes: Apply with wax brush/soft cloth-5 colors.  Big Mamma's Butta:  Apply with brush or lint free cloth buff excess used to enhance wood grain & revive soften & protect.   Gator Hide is a Polyacrylic finish.
